In a major boost to regional connectivity, Star Air has inaugurated its direct flight service between Nagpur and Kolhapur, operating out of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. The launch marks a key milestone in linking Vidarbha and Western Maharashtra by air.
The service is scheduled to run five days a week — from Tuesday to Saturday — with departures at 10 AM. The inaugural flight on this route successfully took off on Thursday morning.
Passengers on the maiden journey were greeted with festive decorations, traditional Maharashtrian hospitality, and commemorative gifts, creating a celebratory atmosphere at the airport. Dignitaries and airline officials were present to mark the occasion.
This development is seen as a step forward in enhancing intra-state travel, easing the movement of people and fostering business and cultural exchange between the two regions.
