To ease traffic congestion and improve safety at Nagpur’s Koradi Naka, a Y-shaped flyover is under construction on National Highway 47. Demolition work has already started, with main construction set to begin on June 20, 2025.
The ₹43.37 crore project will see the construction of a 1,090-meter-long flyover that connects Farsa, Mahadula Railway Overbridge (ROB), and Bokhara Road, and includes an underpass. The existing structure will be converted into a service road to support local traffic.
Koradi Naka has been identified as a major “black spot” due to frequent traffic jams and accidents. This new flyover is expected to bring smoother traffic flow and enhance safety in the area.
Additionally, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has approved the construction of four foot overbridges along Koradi Road at Modern School Square, Panjra Bus Stop, Shivaji Maharaj Square, and Koradi Bus Stop. According to a media report, the deadline for the flyover project is January 2026.
