ZEE5’s first-ever Marathi Horror Original series ‘Andhar Maya’ is set to transport audience to the world of mysticism, and darkness. Releasing on 30th May on ZEE5, the series is directed by National Award-winner Bhimrao Mude, produced by Sharmishtha Raut and Tejas Desai under Ericon Telefilms, story and dialogues are written by Pralhad Kudtarkar while the screenplay is by Kapil Bhopatkar. The series stars the two-time national award winner and the powerhouse performer Kishor Kadam in a role shrouded in mystery.
ZEE5 kicked off the launch of its Marathi horror original Andhar Maya with an immersive campaign featuring a spine-tingling moving wada that toured key cities in Maharashtra such as Nagpur, Mumbai, Thane, and Pune. The immersive travelling replica of the show’s haunted ancestral home gave visitors a unique opportunity to experience its eerie world firsthand. The wada was seen across various locations of Nagpur like Wardha Rd, Karve Nagar Rd, Fetri, Somalwada among others allowing more audiences to engage with the show’s chilling narrative. Exclusively premiering on ZEE5 starting May 30, Andhar Maya will be available in Marathi and Hindi languages, delivering a suspenseful story packed with emotion and atmosphere.
The series follows the Khatu family as they return to their ancestral wada in the eerie Konkan, only to be caught in a loop of family secrets, vanishing live and strange things happening within the wada. Rooted in folklore of Konkan, the series blurs the line between past and present raising the question: Is the house reclaiming its own, or is something far more sinister at play?
