Nagpur Rural’s Saoner Police have cracked down on a prostitution ring running from a local hotel, rescuing four victims, among them a minor girl.
Following a tip-off, police raided Galaxy Inn and Restaurant on Old Pandhurna Road in Saoner, arresting four individuals involved in trafficking and exploiting women and minors. Among those detained was Suraj Pilaji Milmile (28), the hotel owner from Satnaur, Saunsar, Pandhurna district, Madhya Pradesh. The other arrested suspects include Amit Katheeram Awari (21), Shreya Dilip Juna Enkar (20), and Shakeel Sharif Sheikh (28), all from various parts of Madhya Pradesh.
During the hotel inspection, police found three women and one minor girl being exploited. Alarmingly, the hotel’s registration records showed no entries for these guests. Investigations revealed that the hotel owner rented rooms to the women, including the minor, without any verification, purely for profit. The victims stated they were forced into prostitution by the accused.
Saoner Police have filed a case under relevant sections of the BNS, POCSO Act, and the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act. All four accused are in police custody, and the investigation is ongoing. The arrests were made under the guidance of SDPO (IPS) Anil Mhaske.
