A celebration for Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL victory took a tragic turn on Wednesday when a stampede broke out near the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Thousands of fans had gathered at the gates to welcome the team when the crowd surge occurred.
At least seven people lost their lives, and several others were injured in the incident. All the injured and deceased were taken to Bowring Hospital for medical treatment and identification.
Shocking visuals showed police rushing the injured and unconscious to nearby hospitals after the stampede.

According to reports, chaos broke out when RCB fans, asked by police to leave and watch the event online, began banging on the stadium gates. The situation worsened as some tried to jump over gates and fences to enter.
