Jhankar Mahila Mandal WCL, Anviti Foundation,Central Bureau of Communication, Maha Metro, Nagpur and SVK Shikshan Sanstha, jointly celebrated World Environment Day with a heartwarming initiative aimed at inclusion and environmental awareness.
A special Metro train ride was organized for specially-abled and underprivileged children, giving them a joyful and empowering experience of public transportation. The excitement and smiles on the faces of the children turned the metro into a moving celebration of hope, equality, and accessibility.

Following the ride, a Tree Plantation Drive was conducted near the Khapri Metro premises, where the children and volunteers planted saplings, reaffirming their commitment to a greener planet. Further all the kids did drawing and colouring activity on theme Nature.
This initiative not only instilled environmental values among young minds but also highlighted the need for inclusive community-driven action towards sustainability.
Chief Guest Smt. Abha Dwivedi, President Jhankar Mahila Mandal and a noted philanthropist, graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts made to empower the children and nurture nature simultaneously.
While Smt.Gayathri Vatsalya , President SVK Shikshan Sanstha during her welcome address spoke about advantages of educating and involving younger generation today ensures they grow into responsible stewards of the Earth.
Smt.Shefali Dudhbade, Secretary, Anviti Foundation shared her experience and guided the participants about simple tips and eco friendly measures and highlighted the importance of Community participation for multiplying the impact and spreading environmental consciousness.
Sumit Rathor, Environmental enthusiast and active tree planter, said taking part in eco-projects, builds leadership skills, responsibility, and a sense of ownership toward the planet’s well-being.

The event was a beautiful blend of compassion, inclusion, and eco-consciousness, true to the spirit of World Environment Day 2025.
