A car parked opposite Abhyankar Nagar at the entrance of VNIT, under the jurisdiction of Bajaj Nagar police, burst into flames on Monday morning, leaving the vehicle completely charred but causing no casualties .
Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle, bearing registration number MH 40 AR 4999, had been parked by a café‑restaurant when the parking guard, attempting to reposition it, noticed smoke emerging from the bonnet. The driver was alerted and exited the car moments before flames quickly engulfed it.
Nearby observers immediately alerted the Trimurti Nagar Fire Station. The fire brigade arrived promptly and extinguished the blaze, though the vehicle had already suffered total damage. Authorities confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.
