Nagpur: In a back-to-back burglary case, unidentified thieves broke into two bars — Pride Bar & Restaurant and Chanakya Bar & Restaurant — located in the Hudkeshwar area, and stole a total of ₹2.31 lakh in cash during the early hours of June 10.
According to police, the complainant Jaychand Jagannath Gaydhane (46), a resident of Flat No. 26, Sai Nivas, Chandrabhaga Nagar, locked up his Pride Bar & Restaurant around midnight and returned home. Between 12:01 am and 7 am, unidentified miscreants lifted the shutter of the bar and stole ₹1.5 lakh from the cash counter.
Soon after, the same thieves reportedly broke into Chanakya Bar & Restaurant, located nearby, and stole ₹81,600 in cash, bringing the total stolen amount to ₹2.31 lakh.
Based on Gaydhane’s complaint, Hudkeshwar Police have registered a case under Sections 305(A) and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
