Applications for pursuing higher education abroad have been invited from talented students from the open category by the Department of Higher and Technical Education. The scholarships for students to pursue post-graduate degrees and diplomas, and PhD programmes are available.
The Higher and Technical Education Department has informed that the eligibility criteria have been relaxed from a minimum of 60 percent marks to 55 percent marks. The online applications for the academic year 2025-2026 can be submitted by talented students.
The number of scholarships has also been increased from 10 to 30 for post-graduate degree and diploma courses, and 10 for the PhD programme.
The online application can be submitted on the website https://fs.maharashtra.gov.in.
The applicant’s parents or guardians should be the residents of Maharashtra and should have a total of annual family income below Rs 8 lakh.
The last date for submitting the application is June 25. A printout of the application with the relevant documents (original) should be submitted to the Joint Director of the region by 5.30 pm on June 27.
