The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has announced a three-day scheduled power outage in the Seminary Hills area and several adjoining localities from Monday, June 16 to Wednesday, June 18, due to urgent pre-monsoon maintenance, transformer repair, and charging activities.
The maintenance work is being carried out across multiple feeder lines under the Seminary Hills branch office of MSEDCL’s Civil Lines Division. The utility company has appealed to consumers in the affected areas to cooperate during this period to ensure smoother preparations for the upcoming monsoon season.
As part of the planned shutdown, the specific schedule of outages is as follows:
- Monday, June 16 (8 am to 12 noon):
Power supply will be disrupted in areas served by the 11 KV MKCL power line, including Veterinary College Square, Gajanan Society, Surendragarh, Manav Seva, LAD Square, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Futala, and Malabar Colony. - Tuesday, June 17 (8 am to 11 am):
Outages are planned for Gaurkhede Complex, Hingoli Bika Society, Friends Colony, Phalle Layout, Kolbaswami Society, and Netaji Society. - Wednesday, June 18 (8 am to 11 am):
Electricity will be cut off in 11 KV Akar Nagar, VJ Akar Nagar, Swami Colony Phase-1 and 2, Jagdish Nagar, Prerna Nagar, Ganga Nagar, KGN Society, Welcome Society, Akhil Vishwa Bharti Society, Veerachakra Colony, Vighnaharta Colony, MB Estate, Hind Prernanagar, Rakshanagar, and Vidyanagar.
MSEDCL has also urged residents to plan their essential tasks—including use of drinking water systems, lifts, and other electrically operated services—in advance to avoid inconvenience. The company expressed regret for the disruption and emphasized the necessity of the maintenance to avoid breakdowns during the heavy rains.
