The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the complete schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, set to take place from September 30 to November 2. The tournament will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
India will open their campaign on home soil against Sri Lanka at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on September 30, marking the start of the 13th edition of the prestigious 50-over event.
Defending champions Australia will begin their title defense on October 1 in Indore, where they will take on New Zealand—the reigning ICC Women’s T20 World Cup winners.
One of the most highly anticipated fixtures of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025—India vs Pakistan—is scheduled for October 5 in Colombo.
The eight-team tournament will follow a round-robin format, with each side playing the others once. The top four teams at the end of the league stage will advance to the semi-finals.
Ahead of the main event, each team will play two warm-up matches starting from September 24. India will take on England in Bengaluru on September 24, followed by a match against South Africa on September 27 in Guwahati.
This will be the 13th edition of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, featuring eight teams. The tournament will follow a single round-robin format, with each team playing the other seven once. The top four teams at the end of the group stage will advance to the semi-finals.
The top-ranked team will face the fourth-placed team in the first semi-final. The second and third-placed teams will meet in the second semi-final.
The two semi-finals are scheduled for 29 October, and the Final will be played on 2 November.
Matches will take place across five venues in a hybrid model shared between India and Sri Lanka:
