First Delivery by 2028
In a major development for India’s aerospace industry, a subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure has teamed up with French aerospace giant Dassault Aviation to produce Falcon 2000 business jets in the country. As per a joint statement issued on Wednesday, the final assembly line will be established in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
According to a media report, this will be the first time Dassault manufactures its Falcon 2000 jets outside France, marking a key milestone in the company’s global production strategy. The announcement was reported by Reuters, based on the joint statement.
The first batch of Falcon 2000 jets made in India is expected to be ready by 2028. These aircraft will serve both corporate and military customers, highlighting India’s increasing importance in advanced aircraft manufacturing.
The announcement had a swift effect on the stock market, with Reliance Infrastructure shares climbing 5% during afternoon trading. This development is expected to strengthen India’s role in the global aerospace sector while also creating substantial job and skill development opportunities in the region.
