A galaxy of international and national sports personalities will come together for a one-day seminar titled “Sports as a Career”, organized by the Vidarbha Adventure Association (VAA) on July 26 at the Kavivarya Suresh Bhat Auditorium.
Among the distinguished guests will be Olympic silver medallist and Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The seminar will also feature noted names such as Olympian shooter and Khel Ratna awardee Anjali Bhagwat, former Indian cricketers Nilesh Kulkarni and Prashant Vaidya, India wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma, fast bowler Umesh Yadav, and Archery Federation of India Secretary Pramod Chandurkar.
Dr. Anil Karwande, President of the Sports Psychology Association of India, will deliver the keynote address on “Exploring Diverse Career Paths in Sports.”
Col. Rathore will speak on “Beyond the Battlefield: Unveiling Sports Opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces,” while Anjali Bhagwat will shed light on “The Evolving Landscape: Sports as a Viable Career in India.”
Local cricket stars Jitesh Sharma and Umesh Yadav will also share their personal journeys and insights on building a career in sports.
The first technical session will be led by Nilesh Kulkarni on “Sports Management: A Growing Career Field.” Pramod Chandurkar will speak in the second session on “Future Scopes in the Sports Industry,” followed by Prashant Vaidya, who will discuss “Prize Money and Salaries in Sports: A Comprehensive Overview.”
The seminar will conclude with a panel discussion and an interactive Q&A session with all the participating experts.
The organizing committee includes Kumar Masram (Patron), Dr. Sharda Naidu (President), Kishor Bagde (Secretary), Nitin Gohane, Preeti Dudulkar, Sanjay Kadu, Dr. Prashant Debre, and Mangesh Dudulkar.
