The esteemed Government Dental College and Hospital (GDCH), Nagpur, established in 1968, celebrated its 58th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and pride.
The event was graced by several distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Mangesh Phadnaik, Dean and President of the Alumni Association GDCH, Nagpur, and Chief Guest Dr. T.R. Gururaja Rao, Retired Dean of Dayananda Sagar College of Dental Sciences, Bengaluru. Also present were Dr. Wasundhara Bhad (Vice President), Dr. Damyanti Walkey (Secretary), Dr. Sachin Khatri (Treasurer of the Alumni Association), alumni members, and other Executive Committee members.
The celebrations commenced with the Foundation Day lecture delivered by Dr. T.R. Gururaja Rao on the topic “My Journey in Dentistry and Beyond.” In his presidential address, Dr. Mangesh Phadnaik reflected on the institution’s rich legacy and highlighted its achievements over the past few years.
Dr. Gururaja Rao encouraged students and faculty to keep pace with advancements in dentistry, including innovations like artificial tooth implants and surgical procedures.
On this occasion, the prestigious GDC Bhushan Award was conferred upon:

A special GDC Diamond Jubilee Brochure was also released by the dignitaries.

The event concluded with a vibrant cultural program that was thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees.
