A late-night outing turned ugly at Nagpur’s popular ‘Raasta’ pub in Shivajinagar, as a heated argument between two groups spiraled into a full-blown brawl. The scuffle, which reportedly began over a table dispute, erupted around 11 pm and quickly descended into chaos inside the venue.
According to a media report, the scene, captured on the pub’s CCTV cameras, shows punches being thrown and furniture getting knocked over as tempers flared. The footage has since made its way across social media, sparking strong public reactions and once again putting the pub in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
Locals say this isn’t the first time ‘Raasta’ pub has stirred controversy. According to residents, the venue has a history of flouting rules — from allowing minors inside to serving alcohol openly on its rooftop. With the much-anticipated ‘Sindhi Carnival Festival’ set to take place this Saturday, many parents are now voicing concerns about the possible influx of underage attendees at the event. The rising unease has sparked fresh questions about the enforcement of safety and legal norms at the popular hangout spot.
Adding fuel to the fire, residents pointed out that the same premises also house two other clubs — a situation that has made parking in the area a daily nightmare. Illegal parking and frequent traffic snarls have become routine, causing significant inconvenience to locals.
Frustrated citizens are now demanding stricter enforcement of rules, including an outright ban on the entry of minors into pubs and establishments that serve alcohol. They are also calling for better regulation of parking and enhanced security measures. Many warn that if authorities don’t step in with swift and firm action, the situation could quickly spiral out of control.
