With the monsoon in full swing, Mumbaikars are facing major inconveniences due to flooding, traffic congestion, and waterlogging. Airline IndiGo issued an advisory on Tuesday, July 15, warning of possible flight delays at Mumbai airport due to heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for several districts across Maharashtra.
The Indian airline has asked its travellers to prepare for some potential delays in their flight status because of Mumbai rains and low visibility. The airline had also shared a link for its passengers to check their IndiGo flight status.
Mumbai Rains: IndiGO Issues Travel Advisory
The airline has also urged passengers to remain calm and stay updated on their flight status. It assured that travel disruptions will be addressed promptly once weather conditions improve.
“There’s a heavy downpour over #Mumbai at the moment, causing some temporary disruption to flight schedules. If you are travelling today, please be aware of potential delays and allow additional time for your journey, especially with traffic moving slower than usual,” read an X post by IndiGo.
The airline had also added that it is monitoring the situation closely and will resolve the issue soon. “Please check your flight status at http://bit.ly/31paVKQ or our app before leaving. Your comfort and safety remain our top priority. Thank you for your understanding,” read the X post further.
