United Football Club is conducting Haji Majid Ahmad Majju Seth All-India Gold Cup Football Tournament at Military ground in Kamptee from December 28 to January 6.
Total ten teams including five from outstation and five local are participating in the tournament. The outstation teams that will vie for the top honours include BSF Jalandhar, Dream United Bangalore, Kerala Electricity Board, Central Bank Mumbai, Kerala Police along with local outfits Young Muslim Football Club, Nagpur Academy, Rabbani Club, Rahul and Ansar Club. The winner will be richer by Rs 1,11,111 and the runners-up will be given Rs 77,777. Apart from it there will be individual prizes for best goalkeeper, best forward, best defender, best player of the tournament etc.
Abdul Bari will be the match commissioner. DCP Harsh Potdar will inaugurate the tournament at 3 p.m. Veteran football player Yaqub Ansari and deputy commandant Nilesh Pant will also grace the occasion.
