Gondwana Club-Dinshaw’s Men’s All India Ranking and Veteran’s MSLTA Ranking Tennis Tournament will be organised from January 7 at the synthetic court of the club. Men’s main draw matches will be played from January 7 from 9 a.m. onwards. Sign-in for main draw will take place on January 6 from 12 noon to 2 p.m The prize money for the tournament is Rs 2 lakh for men’s doubles and singles. For veterans’ it will be Rs 75,000. The organisers have received 90 entries in men’s singles and doubles from all over the country.
The veteran’s main draw matches will be played from January 11 to January 13. Vaishali Shekatkar from Mumbai will be AITA supervisor for the men’s tournament whereas Supriya Chatterjee will supervise the veteran’s tournament. Gondwana Club president Anuj Singhania will inaugurate the tournament on January 7 at 9 a.m. Treasurer Saket Daga, member Aashish Khemuka, tournament director Rakesh Wadehra, organising secretary Rachana Wadehra, tennis coordinators Ashok Bhiwapurkar, Gaginder Vij, Naresh Chefekar and official doctor Dr Mahesh Kriplani will also grace the function.
