Sportsbuds and Challengers women emerged winners in their respective categories in the box cricket tournament organised during ongoing Khasdar Krida Mahotsav at Sneh Nagar.
In above 35 category, Sportsbuds defeated Ishanya Champs by 18 runs. Batting first Sportsbuds scored 119 in six overs with Devyani scoring fabulous unbeaten 35. Padhashree (24), Vaishali (26) and Radhika (26) were other scorers. In reply, despiite Sangeeta’s 54 Ishanya Champs were all out for 101. Preeti (24) also batted well but in vain. Apoorva who claimed two wickets was declared woman-of-the-match.
In below 35 category, Challengers overcame Pirates by 29 runs. Batting first Challengers scored 141 in six overs. Priyanka scored highest 47. Ankita (46), Trunali (20) too batted well. In reply, Pirates could able to score 112. Jyoti (25), Rachana (22) mwere the main scorers. Priyanka was adjudged as woman-of-the-match.
