Marching one step ahead towards cleanliness drive under Swachch Bharat, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has installed a hydraulic garbage tub in Gandhibag garden.
Deputy Mayor; Deepraj Pardikar, Municipal Commissioner; Abhijit Bangar and senior corporator Daya Shanker Tiwari dedicated the tub to the public at a programme. Â Chairman; Medical and Health Committee; Manoj Chaple, Gandhibag Zone Chairperson; Vandana Yangatwar, corporator Vidya Kanhere, Additional Commissioner; Ram Joshi, Zone Assistant Coommissioner; Ashok Patil, Zonal Officer; Suresh Khare, Deputy Engineer Ravindra Bundade and Suredra Dudhe were prominently present on the occasion.
Garbage is collected from all the localities of the city. However, this garbage again gets spread from the collection point. With the initiative of Mr. Tiwari, the hydraulic tub has been installed, which has the capacity to process 50 cubic metres of garbage that will ensure there is no garbage lying on the roads.
Speaking on the occasion, Bangar lauded the novel concept and suggested some measures which would serve the purpose of the tub. He said the garbage should be collected daily and the tub should be maintained properly on a regular basis.
