This event is one of its kind, in a Rotary Calendar. Scholarship of Rs. 2Lac will be awarded  to the players from the first round apart from attractive giftsâ€.
The main objective of this event is to inculcate leadership in next generation through sports. Rotary lays specific emphasis on youth and has made it its 5th Avenue of service, it becomes very important for Rotarians to take responsibility to groom them to become good sportspersons and leaders.
“Good players inspires themselves, great players inspires others”. Leadership as life is underestimated in India. Leadership in youth is an essential virtue which needs to be sharpened as the youth of today is future of India. Sports is one arena, which helps develop and channelize it, since sportsmen are exposed to concepts like team work, accountability, dedication, a sense of responsibility and ownership, acceptance of criticism and winning. Like Paul Coffey said “leadership is one of sports’ intangibles”. Guys can score; guys can skate faster than anyone else. But not everybody can say follow me.
