‘Beejotsav’, National Seed Festival to be held from March 15 to 17, as a part of workshop that was held at Jagruti colony in ‘Amrut ki Kheti’ to produce fertilizers from mulch. It was a project for urban farming which was developed through public involvement.
The residents who participated in the workshop were trained to produce fertilizers from mulch, decomposing leaves, bark or compost that is around the plants to upgrade or enhance the soil, waste vegetables etc.
Nagpur Beejotsav is a group who are working, since last 6 years to boost conservation of seeds, organic farming and cultivation of toxic free food etc.
The projects that are undertaken by Beejotsav include urban solid waste management and production of fertilizers from waste.
