While the mercury was gradually rising giving the indication of beginning of summer, parts of Vidarbha region witnessed rainfall on the eve of Dhulivandan day on Wednesday.
While there was cloudy sky in the city since morning, Saoner and Bhandara witnessed rainfall accompanied with hailstorm.
Some of the Bhandara residents called up The Live Nagpur and told that they witnessed hailstronm to the size of marbles.
Towards afternoon, the weather changed in Nagpur with strong winds blowing and Sun playing hide and seek game with the citizens. The met department had forecast the weather for 24 hours as partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. Nagpur too witnessed light showers in late afternoon.
