Moti Bagh Workshop defeated Mechanical Diesel 3-2 in sudden-death round to clinch the South East Central Railway DRM Challenge Cup football tournament here on Wednesday. The title match of the competition, hosted by the South East Central Railway Sports Association, was played at the Motibag Stadium,
Both the teams failed to score a goal during the scheduled time. The extra time and penalty shootout too failed to bring result. In the sudden-death round, Workshop eventually came out victorius to lift the title.
Rajkumar Tiwari, Wakeel Ahmad and Premlal Yadav scored goals for the Workshop teamin the sudden-death round, Ayaz Ahmad and Baburao Yadav were the scorers for Mechanical Diesel.
After the title match, SECR DRM Shobhana Bandopadhyay gave away the prizes.
