DACSA ‘A’ team comprising Jitendra Taori and Basak Choudhary clinched the team championship in Sulabha Panbude Memorial Veteran’s Table Tennis Tournament that was was organised at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College Sports Academy, Deekshabhoomi, recently.
In the final, DACSA ‘A’ defeated their B team that was represented by Sunil Panbude, Raju Dayal and Ajay Kalambe. In men’s above 39 singles, Basab Choudhary won the title defeating Pankaj Renu. In above, 49 category, Jitendra Taori overvame Ashok Kalambe to emerge winner. Amnant Pachopr bagged men’s singles above 59 years title defeating Naidu.
Ashwini Sakalkale walked away with women singles title. She overcame Manjiti Pandit. In the doubles, Anju Bose, Paramjit Kaur duo won the title defeating Manjiri Pandit-Dr Sakalkale.
Earlier secretary DACSA Dr AP Joshi inaugurated the tournament. Madhukarrao Deshmukh was felicitated at the hands of Sunil Panpude as the mark of respect and recognition for his remarkable contribution towards table tennis This occasion was also graced by NDTTA secretary Ashutosh Potnis and C.S. Kulkarni.
