Prime Minister Narendra Modi today targeted NCP chief Sharad Pawar for his Prime Ministerial ambition and launched a scathing attack on Congress-NCP combines for indulging in vote bank politics and labelling Hindu terror tag on saffron parties.
Congress is scared, Modi said without naming, Congress President Rahul Gandhi for contesting from a seat with minority population and thus leaving the population with majority population. Modi while launching election campaign from the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vinoba Bhave, said Congress and labelled the Hindu society as terrorists and the tag Hindu terror was imposed on it.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis, State president Raosaheb Danve, Wardha BJP MP Ramdas Tadas were also president. Modi said every body knew Pawar was nurturing the ambition to be the Prime Minister of the country but sensing the mood of the electorate and prospects of NDA retaining power in Delhi, Pawar quietly withdrew from the race saying he was happy in Rajya Sabha, His party is being taken over the by the nephews and party was retiring old and senior leaders.
Modi ridiculed that Pawar= hit wicket taken by his nephew. The NCP was facing a family war, he said criticizing the Congress-NCP regime and described them as Kumbhkarni when one party sleeps for six months and the other ruling partner indulges in looting.
Whether it is irrigation, real estatea or infrastructure projects, they will pile up money through corruption. Pawar was Union Agriculture Minister for ten years and did nothing to stop the farmers’ suicide and, also reminded people of former deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s sarcastic remarks on depleting water level in irrigation. Modi said it would not be appropriate for him to repeat the remarks. When Pawar was in power in Maharashtra, the farmers from Mawal had to face bullets, he said.
The Congress NCP combine looted the funds meant for Irrigation projects, Modi said and adding his government was committed to complete the irrigation projects in Maharashtra.
He said the NDA government cleared 99 pending irrigation projects and 26 of them are in Maharashtra. Turning his gun towards entire Opposition and particularly Congress, Modi said when the entire nation and world was with Army and Government, these people are asking for proofs of our air strikes in Balakot in Pakistan. Posing a question to the crowd, Modi said people should decide whether they are with those seeking proofs or with those satisfied with proofs. Some people are proud of India’s heroes and some are proud of Pakistan’s heroes from India.
The people will not forget and forgive those insulting the Indian Military. He called on the people to teach a lesson to those insulting jawans. He accused the Congress of engineering the defeat of dalit leader Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar (from Bhandara) and had Congress been in power for some more time, the party would have deleted name of Ambedkar
