Congress president Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting at the historic Kasturchand Park ground here in city on April 4 and the preparations have already begun. He is on a Vidarbha tour and will address meetings in Chandrapur and Chandur Railway in Wardha Lok Sabha constituency.
Former MP Vilas Muttemwar told this correspondent that a top level meeting of security agencies is being held to finalize the public meeting plan. Nana Patole is Congress nominee from Nagpur and Kishore Gajbhiye, a former IAS from Ramtek is contesting. Baba Dhanorkar, a former Shiv Sena MLA who is fielded by Congress in Chandrapur and Charulata Tokas from Wardha are in the fray for April 11 election.
There are plans to invite Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for a road show in Nagpur on April 7, Congress sources said
