The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a decisive victory in the Maharashtra Legislative Council by-election from the Nagpur Local Authorities Constituency. BJP candidate Dr. Rajiv Potdar emerged victorious after the completion of vote counting on Monday.
According to the final results, Dr. Rajiv Potdar received 682 votes, while Congress candidate Atul Londhe Patil secured 130 votes. A total of 11 votes were declared invalid.
The by-election was held for the Nagpur Local Authorities Constituency seat of the Maharashtra Legislative Council. With a commanding margin, the BJP retained its dominance in the constituency as party workers celebrated the victory soon after the announcement of the results.
