BJP candidates Arun Lakhani and Shivsena (Shinde) Dushyant Chaturvedi have been elected unopposed to the Maharashtra Legislative Council from the Wardha–Chandrapur–Gadchiroli and Yavatmal Local Authorities Constituencies, respectively.
In the Wardha–Chandrapur–Gadchiroli Local Authorities Constituency, the election became uncontested after Congress candidate Shailesh Agrawal and NCP candidate Sudhir Kothari withdrew their nominations.
As a result, BJP nominee Arun Lakhani was declared elected unopposed.
Similarly, in the Yavatmal Local Authorities Constituency, Shivsena candidate Dushyant Chaturvedi secured an unopposed victory following the withdrawal of rival nominations, eliminating the need for polling.
