Nagpur based Indian Society of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning (ISSLUP), Nagpur in association with Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola is organising a workshop on “Land Use Optimisation for Rural Livelihood in Vidarbha†on 7th April, 2019 at VTI Hall, College of Agriculture, Nagpur (Maharajbagh).
Dr. V.M. Bhale, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola shall be the Chief Guest and Dr. S.K. Chaudhari, Assistant Director General (S&WM), Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi shall be the guest of honour and deliver the key note address. Dr. Jagdish Prasad, President, Indian Society of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning will preside over the function.
The highlight of the function shall be a panel discussion on ‘Agrarian Situation in Vidarbha’ which shall be chaired by Dr. Tapas Bhattacharyya, Former Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Balasaheb Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli, Ratnagiri and Dr. G.R. Chary, Director ICAR-Central Research Institute of Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad.
Dr. A.K. Srivastava, Principal Scientist, Central Citrus Research Institute, Dr. M.V. Venugopalan, Principal Scientist, Central Institute of Cotton Research, Dr. N. Kurkure, Professor, Nagpur Veterinary College, Mr. Manohar Bhojwani, Vidarbha Industries Association and Mr. Shishir Arya from Times of India shall participate in the panel discussion, which will be moderated by Dr. Arun Chaturvedi, Former Head, Division of Land Use Planning, National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning, Nagpur. Panel discussion will be held between 12.00 to 2.00 PM and is open to public. Nearly 100 delegates from Nagpur and outside will be participating in this programme.
