Disha’s 87 run knock in vain – Vidarbha lose to Delhi by 5 wickets
Captain Disha Kasat’s fighting 86 run knock went in vain as host Vidarbha lost to Delhi by five wickets in their last league match in Under-23 women league at VCA Civil Lines stadium on Friday. Batting first Vidarbha scored 150 for 8 in 50 overs . Leading from the front Disha scored 87 single handedly. Opener Latika Inamdar and Saloni Allot contributed 10 each.
For Delhi Ria Sharma and Simran Dil Bahadur captured two wickets each.
In reply Delhi achieved the target in 48.3 overs losing five wickets.  Middle order batswoman Simran (50) and opener Priya Punia (41) were the architects of victory.
For Vidarbha Vaishnavi Khandkar got two wickets for 32 whereas Nupur Kohale and Minal Bodkhe were chipped in with one each. Vidarbha managed just eight points with two victories in eight matches.
