Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Somesh Kumar, on Thursday held meeting for Railway Ticket Collectors at Samadhan Hall, Divisional Railway Manager’s office in which he highlighted the achievements of ticket checking for financial year 2018-19.
He opined that Traveling Ticket Inspectors or Ticket Collectors are a vital part and their work directly affects the impression of the Railways.
Kumar also said that the department of commerce of the railways have achieved, Commerce Effeciency Shield after 15 years. He expressed that the ticket collectors have an important role to play in this achievement.
Kumar informed that Nagpur division, in financial year 2018-19, generated an income of `18,69,16,095, in comparison to last year which generated, `15,71,67,379. This income is 18.93 per cent more as compared to that of last year, which is an achievement in itself.
Kumar also appealed the staff to behave with the passengers with courtesy and also help solve their problems on priority basis. He also expressed that the expectations of people have now increased and an effecient behaviour is expected from the staff.
Kumar also expressed his faith and ability in the staff. Senior DCM Commercial, Krishnath Patil also guided the staff and lauded their contribution to the income. He also expressed his faith on the staff for similar behaviour and hardwork in future.
ADRM (Infra), Manoj Tiwari and ADRM(OP), N K Bhandari also expressed their thoughts. DCM, commercial, Vipul Suskar, ACM (TC), H K Behera, ACM (Cog) Vijay Thool and railway Ticket Collectors were present during the meeting.
