A musical evening of some Hindi, Marathi songs was organized by Swar Malhar at Scientific Hall on Tuesday.
On the occasion of 1st anniversary of the group Swar Malhar, the founders Prashant Thakare and Prashant Waliokar arranged a musical program for the music lovers in the city. The main attraction was the specialty of the vocalists possessing the iconic voice similar to evergreen singers who had hugely contributed in the Indian cinema.
The program began with vocalist Hemant Darvekar rendering ‘ Sai Nath’. Renditions were presented on, ‘Tumha wat keli mi marji bahal’, ‘Gun guna rahe bhawre’,  ‘Janeman janeman’ and many more other hit songs from Hindi and Marathi film industry. A song ‘Hal kya hain dil ko’, which was performed by Vocalist Swapnil Gode got huge round of claps.
Apart from Prashant Thakare and Prashant Waliokar who conceptualized and organized the show and Varsha Abhyankar, Jaya Dhabekar, Kaushik Pujari, Paresh durwe, Sushma Parkar, Archana thakare and Purva salpekar were the vocalists.
