Ruby Sporting Club and Citi Gymkhana stormed into the semifinals in the Sharad Bhake Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament organised by the Sharad Bhake Cricket Academy, here on Wednesday.
Batting first Ruby scored 239 in 29.3 overs against Shree Sports Cricket Academy . Aryan Bambratkar slammed a brilliant hundred. He was ably supported by Sarvesh Ikhankar, who hit 36.
In reply, Shree Sports were restricted to 113 for 9 in 30 overs. Shlok scored 62 runs but in vain . For his match-winning knock, Aryan was adjudged as man-of-the-match.
In another match Citi Gymkhana drubbed Mujumdar Cricket Academy by a comfortable margin of eight wickets at the Citi Gymkhana ground.
Mujumdar CA were bundled out for mere 102 in 26.4 overs. Only Anish Mujumdar (22), Nitya Narang (16) and Krishna Basatwar (14) reached double-digit figures.
Citi Gymkhana bowlers did not allow their opponents to score freely. Prathmesh Tirpude was the most successful bowler with three wickets for 14. Guru Parteki, Shorin Gulhane and Siddhesh Singh claimed a couple of wickets each.
Citi Gymkhana romped home in style with eight wickets and plenty of overs to spare. Parikshit Nimbalkar cracked 49 runs, while Jay Pathak remained undefeated on 34.
At the Nelco ground, SBCA outclassed Rising Star by 94 runs, while Dr Ambedkar College Sports Academy (DACSA) got the better of Brotherhood Cricket Club, Wardha by 43 runs.
