“Prenatal screening can help detection of abnormal fetusâ€
A continuing Medical Education Programme (CME) on Fetal Genetic was organised by Nagpur Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, (NOGS) at May 19, at Hotel Centre Point Ramdaspeth, Nagpur.
At the outset highlighting the need to hold this session was to update members on preventive and diagnostic help for the scientific solutions for understanding genetic disorders and importance of Prenatal diagnosis†said Dr. Priyanka Kamble in her opening welcome speech. The First lecture on “Genetic History taking and who should be referred for genetic counseling and workshop†was conducted by Dr. Rujuta Fuke. Dr Atul Thatai, Lal Pathological Labs Delhi, spoke on “MBFD- Non invasive prenatal diagnosisâ€
Dr. Suvarna Joshi covered “Biochemical Markers in First trimester†Dr. Shilpi Sud talked on “Karyotyping – indication samples and techniques†Dr. Amogh Chimote presented views on “What is Standard and New in aneuploidy screening†And lastly, Dr. Unnati Shende, delivered a lecture on “Prenatal diagnostic techniqueâ€.
Dr. Pradnya Gijre, Dr. Sadhana Raut, Dr. Alka Mukerjee, Dr. Riju Chimote, Dr. Neelam Puniyani, Dr. Ragini Mandlik were chairpersons of various scientific sessions. Dr. Aditi Gulhane and Dr. Vidya Sutaone were the Master of Ceremony.
CME was accredited by MMC and ICOG Credit hours. Secretary, NOGS Dr. Kshama Kedar, proposed the vote of thanks.
