â€œPrenatal screening can help detection of abnormal fetusâ€
A continuing Medical Education Programme (CME) on Fetal Genetic was organised by Nagpur Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, (NOGS) at May 19, at Hotel Centre Point Ramdaspeth, Nagpur.
At the outset highlighting the need to hold this session was to update members on preventive and diagnostic help for the scientific solutions for understanding genetic disorders and importance of Prenatal diagnosisâ€ said Dr. Priyanka Kamble in her opening welcome speech. The First lecture on â€œGenetic History taking and who should be referred for genetic counseling and workshopâ€ was conducted by Dr. Rujuta Fuke. Dr Atul Thatai, Lal Pathological Labs Delhi, spoke on â€œMBFD- Non invasive prenatal diagnosisâ€
Dr. Suvarna Joshi covered â€œBiochemical Markers in First trimesterâ€ Dr. Shilpi Sud talked on â€œKaryotyping â€“ indication samples and techniquesâ€ Dr. Amogh Chimote presented views on â€œWhat is Standard and New in aneuploidy screeningâ€ And lastly, Dr. Unnati Shende, delivered a lecture on â€œPrenatal diagnostic techniqueâ€.
Dr. Pradnya Gijre, Dr. Sadhana Raut, Dr. Alka Mukerjee, Dr. Riju Chimote, Dr. Neelam Puniyani, Dr. Ragini Mandlik were chairpersons of various scientific sessions. Dr. Aditi Gulhane and Dr. Vidya Sutaone were the Master of Ceremony.
CME was accredited by MMC and ICOG Credit hours. Secretary, NOGS Dr. Kshama Kedar, proposed the vote of thanks.
