BJP stalwarts Nitin Gadkari, Hansraj Ahir, Anandrao Adsul and Ashok Nete were leading in initial rounds in the counting at various constituencies in Vidarbha in Nagpur, sitting MP Nitin Gadkari took 3977 votes lead against Nana Patole of Congress. In Chandrapur, Hansraj Ahir ;leading by 29511 against Balu Dhanorkar of Congress who had secured 25229 votes so far. Ashok Nete of BJP in Gadchiroli with 48306 was ahead of Dr Namdeo Usendi 34224 votes.
Anandrao Adsul in Amravati with 67340 votes was ahead of Nanneet Rana of Independent with NCP support securing 63109 votes.; Sanjay Dhotre of BJP was leading by 6334 votes in Akola against his nearest rivals Hidayat Patel of Congress and Prakash Ambedkar of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi.
