Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Nagpur Regional Centre and Bharat Krushak Samaj Maharashtra organized the Tree Plantation Programme in IGNOU’s premises. Bharat Krushak Samaj organizes the tree plantation programme in Maharashtra every year during July 1 to July 15.
The Program was organized by the IGNOU Regional Director Dr. P. Sivaswroop and Dr. Prakash Mankar, Chairman of Bharat Krushak Samaj Maharashtra. Officers and Staff of IGNOU Regional Centre, Nagpur and Bharat Krushak Samaj Office Bearers have planted the saplings in the premises.
Dr. Prakash Mankar said that to provide energy for maintaining ecosystem we need to plant more and more trees.  Dr. P. Sivaswaroop said that by planting more trees we can save the future. So, everyone needs to plant trees in nearby surroundings.
In this programme the following are also present Dr. Ramesh Thakre, Shri Raju Gawande, Shri Madhav Bharsakle, Shri Anil Pohre, Dr. Sasicoumar Brumot, ARD, IGNOU, Dr. Y. Venkateshwarlu, ARD IGNOU, Nagpur and other officers and Staff of IGNOU Regional Centre, Nagpur.
