To ensure peaceful vote counting on November 23, 2024, Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Kumar Singal held a review meeting on November 21 at Police Bhavan, Civil Lines. The meeting was attended by senior police officers from all stations, traffic, crime branch officers, and other senior officials.
The meeting focused on the security arrangements for the strong rooms and counting centers. The Commissioner emphasized close monitoring of antisocial elements and instructed the use of drones, vehicles, megaphones, and videography to oversee the areas. He also discussed the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), SRPF, CRPF, and RCP to maintain order.
Special attention was given to sensitive areas, and the Crime Branch was directed to keep an eye on criminals and history-sheeters. The meeting also covered psychological measures and steps to prevent disruptions during the process.
Joint Police Commissioner Nisar Tamboli, Additional Commissioner Sanjay Patil, and other senior officers assured that the security measures would be fully implemented, ensuring a smooth counting process.
