Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action – YUVA had conducted a Mohalla Sabha on formation of Self Help Groups among women at Nagraj Nagar, Kalamana. More than 50 women participated in the program.
During the Sabha, Urmilla Badge, Rihana bazi, Shahaza Begum from Mahila krantikari Bachat Ghat Sehkari Path Sanstha, Shanti Nagar and Nitin Meshram from YUVA guided the Sabha on the Purpose, Objectives formation, Process and Advantages of SHG’s for the poor.
Nitin Meshram said, “Women empowerment is necessary for development of Society and with the help of SHG’s women from the same socio-economic background who can work together and can solve their financial needs which often neglected by the formal financial institutions linking higher risk to lend to poor’s.
Chaya Maladhare, Geeta Nevare, Ambika Gedam, Chaya Uike, Shailendra Wasnik, Lata Dabekar, Kamala Rahate, Vandana Gajhbiye, Komal Dongre, Nisha Suryadhar, Sadhana Jagne and others participated in the programme. Mr Shriraj Gajhbiye proposed a vote of thanks.
