Rajesh continue to lead

Top seed VAV Rajesh continued to lead in the fourth round of Amdar Chashak All-India FIDE Rating Chess Tournament at Hedgewar Smarak, Reshimbagh, here on Wednesday.

Rajesh was leading with four points to his credit at the end of fourth round. Along with Rajesh, Bharat Kumar Reddy Poluri, Shailesh Dravid, Prasanna S, A Balkishan, Suhrud Acharya, Vijay Jayade, Kantilal Dave were leading with four points.

On top board, Rajesh defeated Kabhilan S. On second board, Bharat Kumar Reddy outclassed Sibi Srinivas Einstein. On third board, city’s FM Shailesh Dravid beat Siddhant Gawai. On Thursday, the fifth round will start at 9.30 followed by sixth at 3 p.m.

(4) bt Dhanvij Ansh (3), Sanjeet Manohar (3) lost to Suhrud Sudheer Acharya(4), Gajanan Vijay Jayade(4) bt Arul Prakash (3), Dave Kantilal (4) bt Manthan Vijayrao Kale (3), Chouhan NC (2.5) lost to Sa Kannan (3.5), Shinde Kunal (2.5) lost to Vigneshwaran S (3.5), Sreenandan Babu J (2.5) lost to Sanchit Anand (3.5), Sourjya Mukherjee (3) drew with Phatak Aanjaneya (3), Krishna Karthik N (3.5) bt Nichat Ajinkya (2.5).
