Botanical garden and Baal Udhyaan, the very known gardens located at Seminary Hills have started charging their visiting fees for the visitors from May 1. According to the forest officials, the reason behind the tickets being charged is to collect some capital for the gardens and to maintain its beauty.
A letter printed on flex is put on the main gate of Baal Udhyaan saying, Japanese Garden and Baal Udhyaan are the two gardens which not only are filled with varieties of trees and plants but also play a huge role in the biodiversity of the city. And for the entertainment of the visitors, both the gardens have made facilities available with few play rides on the premises. And for the maintenance of these rides and facilities, the Citizens will be charged in the following manner from May 1.
The tickets charged to the visitor of age 5 and above, where 5 to 12-year-old kids will be charged rupees 5 and above 12 will be charged rupees 10. For the regular visitors, a pass is being availed for rupees 100Â per month, the pass is even available on a six-month basis pass which will be charged 500 and yearly pass will be for 800 rupees.
