A Nagpur based student Prithvi Chauhan, currently studying in B.Tech. (Final Year) in the Department of Petroleum Engineering, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, gave a presentation on ‘Nanotechnology application in the oil and gas industry’ at Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), London.
Chauhan was one of the few Indian students to have received this golden opportunity to attend the International Student Energy Summit-2019, an interdisciplinary summit created for students and organised by the Student Energy Group in London, UK, recently at Imperial College, London.
The summit was attended by around 650 delegates from more than 100 countries. The objective of the summit was ‘Breaking Barrier’, which means though the different communities, facing different problems and challenges, yet they all work as one towards a better future.
The summit had some of the most influential people from the energy industry, who spoke on various topics namely Sustainable Development Goals, sustainable energy, etc.
