Passengers faced the burn of the as the trains were not moving ahead of Igatpiri and were left stranded by the railway administrations. Many trains leaving from Mumbai were delayed or cancel as only middle and upline were functional and the rest of the lines were out of order due to mud and waterlogging.

Mumbai Duronto express was canceled at Igatpuri leaving passengers in a state of confusion and were let nowhere to go. The travelers were not informed that the train will not move ahead of Igatpur. Also, no clarifications were made by railway officials until evening and commuters were left to fend for themselves.

Finally, in the evening, a bus was arranged by railway administration and commuters were informed that they would be carried to Kalyan station.
