tThe Unit-1 Crime Branch of Nagpur Police raided Radiant Salon and Spa at Achraj Tower, Chhawani Chowk, under the Sadar police station limits, and busted an alleged prostitution racket operating from the premises.
The accused, Bhushan Nareshrao Waghmare (31), a resident of Ajay Nagar near Gular Dawakhana, was arrested for allegedly running a brothel by luring women with money and exploiting them for commercial sex.
During the operation, police rescued three women and seized ₹2,000 used by a decoy customer, ₹1,000 suspected to be proceeds from the illegal activity, an Android mobile phone, used and sealed condom packets, and a DVR box. The total value of the seized property is estimated at ₹36,000.
A case has been registered at Sadar Police Station under Section 143(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3, 4, 5 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. The accused and the rescued women were medically examined and handed over to Sadar Police for further investigation.
