The YONEX-SUNRISE Nagpur District Badminton Selection Tournament 2026 will be held from July 23 to 26 at the Subhedar Badminton Hall in the RTMNU Sports Complex, Ravi Nagar.
The four-day tournament will bring together the city’s leading shuttlers, emerging youngsters and veteran players. It will also serve as one of the selection events for the Under-17, Under-19 and Senior Inter-District Badminton Championships.
Competitions will be held in the Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, Senior and Veterans categories. Singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches will be played across the age groups. The last date for entries is July 20.
Organisers have announced a cash prize pool of ₹1.50 lakh, along with mementoes and certificates for winners and runners-up.
Players can participate in a maximum of three events.The entry fee is ₹1,000 for singles and ₹2,000 for doubles in the junior and senior categories. For veterans, the fee is ₹600 for singles and ₹1,200 for doubles.
The tournament will use YONEX AS-2 feather shuttles for junior and senior matches, while YONEX MAVIS 350 nylon shuttles will be used in the veterans’ events.
