A candle march will be held in the city on Saturday at 5 pm to express solidarity with activist, education reformer and environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk, whose indefinite fast has entered its 20th day.
The march will begin at Samvidhan Chowk and proceed to the Gandhi statue at Variety Square, where participants will carry candles as a symbol of peaceful protest and public concern.
Wangchuk is on a hunger strike demanding action over the alleged NEET paper leak and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Organisers said the march aims to support Wangchuk and raise awareness about concerns over transparency and accountability in the examination system.
Supporters believe the issue goes beyond a single paper leak and reflects the need to restore trust in examinations that affect the future of millions of students.
