The District Sports Office (DSO) will organise the annual Inter-School Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament from July 21 to 28 at two venues in the city.
The tournament will include the Under-15 (Sub-junior) boys’ category for players born on or after January 1, 2012, and the Under-17 (Junior) boys’ and girls’ categories for players born on or after January 1, 2010.
Matches will be held at St. Francis De Sales College Ground, Seminary Hills, and Nashikrao Tirpude College of Physical Education Ground.
The DSO has directed all participating schools to complete the required registration and participation formalities before the deadline. Schools that fail to do so will not be allowed to take part in the tournament.
The office also clarified that CBSE and ICSE schools are not eligible to participate, as both boards conduct their own football tournaments under their respective school sports calendars.
