National Power Training Institute (NPTI), has been established by Govt. of India in 1965 under the Ministry of Power as an apex autonomous organization with an objective to provide training to the power sector personnel in the areas of Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution.
Four days residential training program exclusively for senior engineers of different zones of MSETCL (Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd.) was organized at NPTI, Nagpur recently. About 40 senior engineers of MSETCL attended this training program on “Maintenance of Substation: Testing, Predictive Maintenance, Earthing, Safety Rules & Regulation†etc. at NPTI, Nagpur.
The program had classroom lectures on various aspects on substation equipment maintenance including condition monitoring, testing, safety and prevailing regulations, case studies delivered by experts and field demonstrations.
The program was inaugurated on 20/08/2019 at the hands of Dr. V. K. Khare, Executive Director (WR-I), PGCIL. He dwelt on the long journey of development of power system in India from individual state grids to today’s National Grid. He further stressed on the need to understand and imbibe the latest technology and urged the participants to work as per market demand in fast changing complex energy scenario. Shri N. C. NPTI, Nagpur explained about the significance of the training program and thanked MSETCL for deputing their engineers to undergo such training at NPTI, Nagpur on a regular basis. Two more such training programs for MSETCL shall be conducted by NPTI in the coming months.
The course coordinator Shri Preetam Singh, Assistant Director, NPTI conducted the proceedings and proposed the vote of thanks. Shri. S. R. Titoniya, Director, Shri. Sanjay Singh, and Shri. D. Anbarasu, Asstt. Directors were present on the occasion.
