As per the recent information provided by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) the Nagpur city said to be on an Orange alert. This means, that the coming days would have a heavy rainfall of around 65 to 125 millimeter (mm) in just a span of 24 hours. The city could even face a critical condition where it may rain 215 to 200 mm of rainfall.
The orange alert is already in action, as the IMD had already declared the alert since September 5 to 7. Reviewing the alert, the  Meteorological Department has warned the Nagpur city that it might rain above 200 mm which is extremely heavy. The low-pressure level is shifted from Odhisha to Chattisgarh and therefore there are chances of the heavy rains continuing tomorrow as well.
Today on September 6, In just 3 hours of rainfall the city was submerged underwater in many low-level areas, Which also affected in moving traffic very slowly. Many incidents took place over the city due to the heavy rainfall.
